Seville is the birthplace of Flamenco and is famous for its culture, monuments, traditions and artistic heritage. It is one of the most charming cities of Spain - with the third largest Cathedral in the world, the Giralda tower, the wonderful palace of the Reales Alcázares and the magical Barrio of Santa Cruz with its narrow streets. Seville occupies the valley of the Guadalquivir River and was an important harbour during the Spanish conquest of the American continent. Silver and gold from the New World arrived in Seville through the river and a were distributed throughout Spain. Assembly 2016 will include optional sightseeing tours to ensure delegates have a taste of Seville.
